Im thinking about getting a drum set...what kind should I get?
I should have about 800 dollars by this summer, and my dad is willing to give me at least 400 bucks, totalling 1200. I currently have a 80's Pearl Export Series drum set, and seriously needs replacing. I want something to match my Tama Masai Snare, so I thought Tama would be good?
tama is great. i play on a starclassic maple myself. that might be a bit above your range, but the starclassic performer or birch are both fantastic kits right in the price range. will you be needing cymbals too? if not, def try out some tamas. if youre in a drum shop, try out some yamahas too for comparison, or even some higher end pearls.
