Which stand is best for a crash ride cymbal, a straight or boom?
I've seen both and i like a boom stand more but will it be able to hold up and 18" crash ride?
Depending on what thickness the boom arm is, a straight
if the boom arm is very thick then use that however i have seen many fall and/or break due to their cymbals being to heavy for the clasp to grip because the boom arm was too thin.
if you have a boom stand use that but be cautious, if you do not have one atall buy a straight..
