Im looking to buy a stratocaster, the fender version's price is a little too high, so im going for the squier...

Depending on if you want new or used, you may want to go to eBay and see if anyone has a Fender Strat for sale.
I bought a Mexican made Fender Strat fairly cheap there, don't remember the price at the moment, but I love it, I also have Epiphone's, Les Paul, SG and Dot 335. I enjoy the Strat more than the others, and I grew up on a 66 SG, a 71 Goldtop Les Paul and a 66 ES 355 Stereo(Lucille).
So don't count out a used one, go there and at least take a look.
