To ALL CONGA Players?
I play the congas at my church and I had to teach myself how toplay as I grew up. I first sucked then I taught myself, listenign to Spainish music, and now Iplay better. But when Igo to yotube people play like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nj3lbIgYNQ4 but I play like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWCBviuQ030 because that's how the music in our church is played. But I want to play like a real conga player even with my churches music, any ideas? ONline Lessons? Please Help
PS This is a little bit of how our church plays, it's hard to hear me cause my jungle friend plays the drums like crazy but this is nothing to howhe usaully plays http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctS2gxaV9gQ What can I do to make my congas louder and Play better beats?? PLEASE HELP I'm tired of having to use the drums to help my conga beats I want to play like a real conga player!
To make them louder, get an amplifier that can be heard from very long distances. My friend downloads his beats for his rap songs from limewire. He is a rapper, and a pretty good one. I listened and you are a great conga player. Believe in your abilities and others will too.
