an unaccountable amount of studio's have Gretsch Renown Maple's as their studio drum set. Amazing drum set, with a price tag to match.
OC Newport - They're not Keller shells like the OCDP drums that are made in California. They're made with a lower quality wood, not made by hand (all machined) and not made in America (China, ugh). they are not the same OCDP that travis barker or any of their endorsers use. They're overpriced, over-jazzed tama rockstars with crappy lugs (too many reports of broken lugs already). Please stay away.
Ludwig - Depends on which ludwig. Accent? Stay away. Zep set? eh, maybe. Classic Maple, Classic Birch or Centennial series? Absolutely amazing, like the renown maple.
