Do aluminum pots/pans potentnially lead to alzheimer's disease/memory loss?
I heard recently that aluminum can affect you later on in life. Cooking with aluminum cookware is especially bad for a person's health.
There was a study that was associated with alzheimers change and aluminum. After that attempts to remove aluminum with chelation therapy in Alzheimers disease were done. There were no difference in the course of the disease. It would take a toxic level of aluminum to cause neurologic problems and pots and pans and foil will not cause this.
The aluminum pots are probably better than the teflon coated pots and frying pans. Medium heat is recommended with these cooking utensils as toxins(teflon) are released with higher than medium heat.
